A quick scan of the morning headlines turned up this gem:
At first I thought it sounded like a feud between two grunge bands. But NO! I began to read the story and quickly realized that it was set in India so, of course, the headline is meant literally.
Now I'm one to look for messages and significance in odd places and I just know that in this quote from Jugesh Oraon, a local village leader, there is sage advice and a glimpse into the meaning of life: "The elephants do not roam where camels are found." Especially smelly ones.
What more can I say? Namaste.

I can sympathize totally. I try to stay away from smelly camels too.
With those big noses, no wonder. Camels smell rotten to me, so amplified, they must be murder.
Camels smell bad to me, so it must really be horrible for elephants.
I guess you learn something new every day!
Ah, so that's what I need to get! We've been troubled by marauding elephants for weeks on end. I'll just get a smelly camel or two, and things'll be fine!
:-p

But what do you want? Smelly camels or marauding elephants? Either way it sounds like a bad deal. Cannot we just have some tasty chickens running around?
Hmmmmm, what a minute. Last time we tried playing around with farm birds here things got pretty messy didn't it?
There seems to be a decided bias against smelly camels in this group. I bet if I had said elephants and donkeys ya'll wouldn't be siding with the elephants now wouldja?
Look at that, Kitty is the only one willing to take in a poor smelly camel or two. A strumpet with a heart of gold. ;-)
MI, things always get messy when you play with birds. Just don't make me trot out my 12 days of Christmas posts.
Too . . many . . . sexual connotations. . . . Malach's head. . about . . to . . . explode
Poor Malach.
This Elephant problem is becoming most vexatious! There must be more than one cure. Smelly Camels seem a bit extreme!
maybe someone should upgrade the phoebe song "smelly cat" to "smelly camels" :)
namaste!
Does this mean that if I get a camel no more Republicans will come to the door?
